I’ve just started this blog as a way of keeping a sort of digital diary of my goings on with regard to greenwood working. I realised I have a passion for working greenwood (unseasoned, recently felled timber) after spending 6 weeks learning the basics with Guy, Charlie, Sarah and a few others during the filming of the BBC 2 series ‘Mastercrafts’ on Greenwood. I made two chairs during the programme, and I loved the experience so much that this set me off in a new direction. I have a website (thegreenwoodchairproject) put together by the masterful team at Blindspot (blindspotdesign.co.uk) which I’m using to show each greenwood chair that I make (and hopefully pick up a commission here & there!). This blog is a way for me to record and reflect on my journey. I hope it provides an interesting insight for anyone who is interested!

I’ve got a bit of catching up to do as lots has been happening since the end last autumn and the end of the filming, so here goes …
